On October 5, 2010, the USCIS International Operations Division and the Office of Public Engagement invited prospective adoptive parents seeking to adopt children from Nepal to a teleconference with USCIS and the Department of State to discuss the current situation of adoption processing in Nepal.
On October 27th, the USCIS International Operations Division and Office of Public Engagement invited stakeholder to participate in discussion on the Cuban Family Reunification Parole Program (CFRP).
On October 21, 2010, the Office of Citizenship previewed the new Citizenship Resource Center with stakeholders via webinar. The Citizenship Resource Center provides immigrants, teachers, and organizations with a one-stop portal for locating citizenship information and preparation materials.
On October 14th, the Office of Public Engagement and the Service Center Operations Directorate invited stakeholders to participate in discussion on the EB-5 (Immigrant Investor) program.
On October 14, 2010, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Service Center Operations (SCOPS) Directorate and the Office of Public Engagement (OPE) hosted the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Quarterly Engagement. OPE advised participants that the session was for USCIS to listen to the views and information of individual stakeholders and not for the purpose of obtaining group or consensus advice.
On October 6, 2010, the Office of Public Engagement invited stakeholders to participate in a Field Operations Directorate Stakeholder Meeting.
On October 4, 2010, the USCIS Office of Public Engagement invited stakeholders to join a series of listening sessions on the USCIS Transformation program.
On September 30, 2010, the USCIS Office of Public Engagement hosted a National Webinar; one of a series of listening sessions on the USCIS Transformation program.
On September 23, 2010, Director Mayorkas hosted a quarterly meeting with stakeholders. Director Mayorkas spoke on a number of issues including the final fee rule, updates on the newly created Fee Waiver Form (Form I-912, Request for an Individual Fee Waiver), the Policy Review, and our initiative to combat the unauthorized practice of immigration law.
On June 16, 2010, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Service Center Operations (SCOPS) Directorate and the Office of Public Engagement (OPE) hosted a quarterly EB-5 Stakeholder Meeting. They were joined by a USCIS Economist, staff members from the Office of Policy & Strategy, and the Office of Chief Counsel, in addressing stakeholders questions and topics of interest.
