1. What is the role of the Office of Performance and Quality within USCIS?
USCIS Response: The Office of Performance and Quality (OPQ) is responsible for fulfilling the following mission critical activities for USCIS:
On May 20, 2011, USCIS discussed the process of registering for Temporary Protected Status under the re-designation as well as the process of re-registering under the extension.
On September 20, 2010 the Vermont Service Center hosted a teleconference with Q & A session to discuss I-360 VAWA cases and T & U visa cases.
On September 14, 2010, USCIS hosted its fifth External Data Interface Standards (EDIS) collaboration teleconference to discuss schedule changes and provide stakeholders with the latest updates.
On April 30, 2011, the USCIS Office of Public Engagement invited customers and stakeholders to participate in "Enlace", a free Spanish-language event.
On January 12, 2011, the Office of Public Engagement hosted a quarterly national stakeholder engagement for state, local, tribal, and territorial government partners.
On April 14, 2011, USCIS invited interested parties to participate in a stakeholder engagement regarding the unauthorized practice of immigration law and building the capacity of immigration service providers.
On March 24, 2011, USCIS invited interested parties to participate in a teleconference regarding the subject of agents performing the function of employer for the O nonimmigrant visa classification.
On April 6, 2011, the USCIS International Operations Division and the Office of Public Engagement invited stakeholders to participate in a meeting in which USCIS presented findings of a recent interagency site visit to Addis Ababa to review Ethiopian adoptions.
On April 8, 2011, the USCIS Office of Transformation Coordination and the Office of Public Engagement invited stakeholders to participate in a session regarding mandatory electronic filing of applications and petitions for immigration benefits.
