On January 7, 2011, the USCIS Field Operations Directorate hosted an engagement with AILA representatives. USCIS discussed issues related to operations and adjudications. The information below provides a review of the questions solicited by AILA and the responses provided by USCIS.
On November 22, 2010, USCIS hosted a national teleconference to discuss important changes taking effect on November 23, 2010, including the publication of the new fee waiver form and the revised fees.
On July 20, 2010, the Service Center Operations Directorate and the Office of Public Engagement hosted a listening session on O and P nonimmigrant visas. The following are answers to the questions that skakeholders asked at this listening session.

Q: When can a U.S. agent file as a petitioner for an O beneficiary?
A: The regulations allow agents to be petitioners in the following scenarios:
On December 16, 2010, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Service Center Operations (SCOPS) Directorate and the Office of Public Engagement (OPE) hosted the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Quarterly Engagement.
On December 15, 2010, the USCIS Office of Citizenship and Office of Public Engagement invited stakeholders to participate in a discussion on plans to implement a national initiative to raise awareness about the rights, responsibilities, and importance of U.S. citizenship.
On December 15, 2010, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services International Operations Division and the Office of Public Engagement invited prospective adoptive parents seeking to adopt children from Nepal to a teleconference with USCIS and the Department of State to discuss the current situation of adoption processing in Nepal.
On November 23, 2010, the Office of Public Engagement and Office of Citizenship hosted a stakeholder engagement to discuss federal funding for citizenship preparation services.
On November 17th, the Vermont Service Center invited stakeholders to participate in a teleconference with Q & A session to discuss I-360 VAWA cases and T & U visa cases.
On October 12, 2010, the Office of Public Engagement hosted an engagement with the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the Office of Chief Counsel and other relevant program offices/directorates. USCIS discussed issues related to the adjudication of immigration benefits and other concerns posed by AILA members.
On November 9th, the USCIS International Operations Division, Office of Policy & Strategy, and Office of Public Engagement hosted a teleconference to discuss changes to the adjudication of the Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, filed by petitioners residing overseas.
